WELCOME to my Wonderful World of Gone With The Wind!!! I'm Dawn, 40, from Missouri. This website was created based on my love of a movie that I saw for the first time when I was 12 years old. I immediately fell in love with the movie, the characters and everything about the lifestyle and the era it took place in when I saw it. I was 15 when I read the book for the first time and fell madly in love with it as well. My collecting spree began when I was about 16 starting with small items (basically anything to do with GWTW), and as I got older, my taste for collectibles increased both in the size of the objects and their value. I now own some VERY interesting collectibles, including autographed pictures of some of the cast members, a Limited Edition print by William Maughan (only 2500 were made, mine is #577), I also have the entire plate collection of the "Critics Choice" set from the early 1990's. Each plate at issue was appx. $35 and I own all 12 in the series. I believe that set is my favorite. I've also collected puzzles and the porcelain houses of Tara and Twelve Oaks and have a few of the dolls. I am a BIG fan of the GWTW Collectible Trading Cards that were made by DuoCards (now discontinued), but I bought enough to be able to sell them, hoping to help fill other collectors' homes with visions of Gone With The Wind. I'm hoping to one day get back into collecting but for now I devote my time and my passion to this website about a romance that inspired me almost 30 years ago for the first time.
Mysticphoenix originally was Dawn's Wonderful World of Gone With The Wind. Through the years this website has grown from a single page synopsis of myself and my interests into what is now an extended compilation of my thoughts, dreams, desires and heart. I chose the name Mysticphoenix because like me, this website is in the process of rising from the ashes of what it once was, and having been down so many roads in it's lifespan, it has finally found a home and room to grow. The content on this website will follow many different paths into the depths of what I enjoy most in life.
